No. The Vegan & Gluten-Free Edition already did that work. This guide is the next layer: what to reach for when almond flour, coconut yogurt, coconut oil, maple syrup or a flax egg isn't right for your kitchen, your allergies or your goals.

It is written for it. Every swap starts from that book's pantry and names its recipes, so you will get the most from it side by side. The swaps themselves still work in other plant-based baking.

WHEN THE PANTRY ISN'T RIGHT FOR YOU

A Few Swaps From Inside

Nut-Free? Swap The Almond Flour

Nut-Free? Swap The Almond Flour

Sunflower seed flour, one for one, is the standard nut-free swap. Certified gluten-free oat flour works too, for a slightly lighter crumb.

No Coconut? Reach For Soy Yogurt

No Coconut? Reach For Soy Yogurt

Unsweetened soy yogurt, one for one, is the swap that is both coconut-free and nut-free. Avocado oil replaces coconut oil the same way.

Out Of Flax? Make A Chia Egg

Out Of Flax? Make A Chia Egg

One tablespoon of ground chia and three of water, rested ten minutes. It behaves almost exactly like a flax egg in muffins and loaves.

QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I receive it?

After checkout, the download link is sent to your email so you can open it on your computer, tablet or phone. If you do not see it, please check your spam or promotions folder. That is usually where it hides.

Do I need the Vegan & Gluten-Free Edition?

It is written as its companion. Every swap starts from that book's pantry and names its recipes, so the two work best side by side.

Will it help with a nut or coconut allergy?

It has full pages on making the recipes nut-free and coconut-free, with the swaps I tested in my own kitchen. With a serious allergy, please always read the label of every ingredient. No guide can control what is in the packet in front of you.

Does it teach me how to make recipes vegan?

No. The Vegan & Gluten-Free Edition already did that. This guide picks up from there, for when almond flour, coconut, maple syrup or flax isn't right for you.

Can I make the recipes less sweet?

Yes. There is a whole page on it: using a little less maple syrup, choosing less ripe bananas, replacing part of the dates with applesauce, adding cocoa, and leaning on zest and vanilla.

How is this different from the original swap guide?

The original is the companion to the original Guilt-Free Treats and covers ingredients like honey, Greek yogurt and eggs. This edition starts from the vegan pantry, and every swap in it stays plant-based.

What if I am not satisfied?
